Read this today.

"Bidding has skyrocketed for a weekend
with four Sydney men auctioning themselves at online marketplace eBay, with a
French buyer offering $85,100."

This is what people CAN do when they have too much money. If I had A$85, 100 now, I would pay off my debt and then buy a house/unit for myself. I don't believe in buying friendship.

Lunar New Year in Brisbane

Today is the first day of Lunar New Year and there are quite a number of programmes scheduled in Chinatown, Brisbane. My flatmate and I thought it might be fun for us to spend the morning there.

Ice Sculpturing: Preparation
We wanted to see the ice sculpturing because we were curious how long the ice was going to last in this summer heat.

Ice Sculpturing: In Progress
The dog's head fell off. The guy calmly fixed it.

Ice Sculpturing: Finishing
We got impatient and went off before it was completely finished.

I couldn't believe the number of people (most were non-chinese) gathering in that little Chinatown and some people had dressed for the occasion.

I am not a fan of lion dance ... too loud for my liking. We thought we were safe having lunch at a small chinese cafe. Unfortunately the troop came while we were having our chicken rice.

I saw this display at the lobby of the hotel where my cousin stayed ... took pictures purely because I liked the design, the concept and the colour combination. I didn't take too much notice of the wedding gown ... hmmm ... Anyway the whole display looked very elegant.
