Last Thursday, like any other weekday morning, the alarm went off so I had to get up and get ready for work. As I was trying to get up, I heard a crack sound and instantly I felt pain on the right side of my neck. I struggled to get off my bed and to go to the bathroom. Brushing my teeth and washing my face were impossible because I felt faint when I tried to bend my head. I soon realised that I was unable to drive myself to work that morning so I decided to take the day off.
With plenty of pain killers and sleep, I am feeling better now. My neck is still sore, but I am no longer in pain. Before the incident, I have never thought that a simple routine movement of lifting my head can cause such a painful injury.

- I am definitely getting old!
- It is impossible to get the same-day appointment with any General Practitioners (Called at least 6 medical centres that day) in Brisbane. Unbelievable!
